Kaylee & Anthony: A Love Story Across State Lines

Kaylee and Anthony’s love story began at Tennessee Tech University, where fate (and a shared passion for sports) brought them together. As the soccer season wound down, Kaylee saw her chance to turn sideline conversations about turf toe and baby Bisons into something much more meaningful. A spark ignited, and soon, their connection became undeniable.

But love, much like a good game, comes with its challenges. Anthony’s career in Sports Performance took him to the University of Houston, leaving Kaylee to brave Tennessee Tech without him. With FaceTime marathons and endless text messages, distance was no match for their growing love. Then came COVID—a time of uncertainty for the world, but a silver lining for the couple. Anthony, between jobs, spent the summer in Cincinnati with Kaylee and her family, solidifying their bond in the comfort of her childhood home.

Their journey together has taken them from Maryland, where Anthony took a job at UMBC and Kaylee started her career at First Watch, to Texas, where Anthony now leads as the Director of Volleyball Sports Management at SMU, and Kaylee manages a brand-new First Watch in Addison.

Through career changes, cross-country moves, and life’s unexpected twists, one thing has remained constant—Kaylee and Anthony’s love story. And now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
